Senior Research Fellow- NICOLA Study

The Centre for Public Health (CPH) sits within the School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences (MDBS) at Queen's University Belfast. The Centre aims to advance the health of the public at a regional, national and international level, by increasing knowledge and influencing clinical and public health practice and policy.
The Senior Research Fellow will be a member of a multi-disciplinary research group working on the NICOLA Study which is a large longitudinal study addressing the social and biological determinants of healthy aging in Northern Ireland. The post will involve working predominantly with the NICOLA Operations Group, Scientific Officer and Project Manager, in the delivery and support of a portfolio of research that stem from the NICOLA data resource. The successful candidate will take the lead in the preparing the report of the second wave survey, and will work with other members of the NICOLA team in preparing the cohort for linkage to other data sets, and assisting in the preparation of future grant applications. The work will fit within the research strategies of Centre for Public Health and there will be opportunity to develop the post holder's research skills and to co-author academic papers.
