The Centre for Dentistry, part of the School of Medicine, Dentistry & Biomedical Sciences (MDBS) at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Lecturer (Education) in Behavioural Science. The post also incorporates the role of Lead for Student Wellbeing in the Centre.
The postholder will provide teaching and assessment in Behavioural Science and Health Psychology in the undergraduate course in the Centre for Dentistry, developing and delivering innovative teaching to undergraduate dental students. They will fully utilise digital platforms and will base their teaching around the learning outcomes described in the General Dental Council’s ‘Preparing for Practice’ document. Teaching will be provided by a connected approach using online and face-to-face formats, to include lectures, tutorials and workshops. Design and delivery of appropriate, blueprinted assessments is also required.
As the Lead for Wellbeing in the Centre, the postholder will provide professional advice and support to students and staff on a broad range of wellbeing issues.
