The School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering & Computer Science (EEECS) at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Research Fellow in Channel Modelling and Sensing for Future Wireless Systems.
The successful candidate will be a highly productive, ambitious and collaborative member of the ‘’Realising Enabling Architectures and Solutions for Open Networks (REASON)’’ project. They will be responsible for conducting a series of channel measurements at frequencies likely to be used by radio access technologies in future wireless systems (e.g. 6G and Wi-Fi) and building upon the measurements, developing a new generation of wireless channel models, specifically tailored to these systems. The measurements will also be used to propose new approaches to sensing using channel information/data.
The successful candidate will become an active member of the Centre for Wireless Innovation and the School of EEECS at QUB, assisting in the production of world leading research output.

This post is fixed term for 21 months or until 28 February 2025, whichever is sooner. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
