Project Manager for Integrated Clinical Development (Part Time)
Job description
The Northern Ireland Centre for Pharmacy Learning and Development (NICPLD) provides over 1,000 hours of learning opportunity each year to pharmacists, pre-registration trainees and pharmacy technicians. While the live and distance learning programmes remain the cornerstone of the Centre's activities, NICPLD encourages pharmacists to engage in other
learning opportunities. Accredited and vocational training is provided by NICPLD. The postgraduate certificate in pharmacy prescribing (6 months) has been running since 2003, while the vocational programme (2 years) for junior hospital pharmacists started in 2008. Accredited courses for pharmacy technicians who wish to train as ACTs and PODs technicians are also provided. NICPLD delivers the mandatory courses that pre-registration trainees are required to complete.
The Project Manager for Integrated Clinical Development will support the ongoing strategic development of education and training for pharmacists working in all sectors of practice across Northern Ireland. The PM will manage, lead, and co-ordinate the integration of the various postgraduate training pathways into a single pharmacy clinical development framework. This includes planning, design, development and implementation of foundation, prescribing and advanced practice training for pharmacists working in all sectors of practice. The successful candidate will work with the Heads of Pharmacy, clinical leads, pharmacy consultants and network of teacher-practitioners, together with the Centre's clerical staff and programmers to ensure the programme is delivered efficiently, on-time and within budget.
This is a part time role (0.5 FTE) up until 31st July 2019 but may be extended until 31st July 2020. Secondments from other organisations will be considered for this post.
